A hug and smiles with Lisa, Marla's recreational therapist, who works with her on hydro-therapy in Craig's pool.
After visiting friend Steffie Brouillete's art class at Glacier Peak Elementary School, Marla got out her chalks, and sat down and produced a wonderful rendition of Van Gogh's Starry Night, of which she has a poster in her living room. Her art abilities are amazing, and left-handed! Plus great exercise for the brain.
Celeste works with Marla on her right arm during her PT session. Marla has made great strides improving the flexibility in her shoulder!
While her regular speech therapist was on vacation, Marla worked with a substitute speech therapist, Jody, for awhile. Marla is currently working with a new software program called CHAT, to aid in her therapy.
One of the highlights of the Colorado River trip was a swing by the rookery of the Great Blue Heron, nesting for the spring. Very beautiful, graceful birds. If you look hard, you can see a Heron in the upper right hand nest within the tree.
At Craig's evening St. patrick's Day dance, Marla surveys the dance floor with friends Ken and Billy, fellow Craig patients.
Mary and Marla getting ready for a float trip down the Colorado River, guided by friend Jim VanMeter.
